PSA shipment theft: what is confirmed
In its October 20 report, the Associated Press said Santa Ana police were investigating an October 13 theft from a FedEx truck near PSA. Police estimated the stolen trading cards at $963,000, while saying the exact total was still undetermined. Sports and Pokémon cards were among the items taken. Read AP’s police-sourced report.
PSA’s parent company, Collectors, says it has disabled the stolen items’ certificates, alerted marketplace partners and contacted affected customers. Its public statement says compensation is being arranged using fair market value; it does not specify individual settlements or a payment timetable. Read Collectors’ statement.
PSA reports a smaller backlog, without a reopening date
Separately, PSA’s October 20 tracker puts its active grading backlog at 7.2 million units, compared with 8.2 million on October 6. PSA says existing orders retain priority and services will reopen in phases. The update does not announce a date for reopening Value submissions. Read PSA’s dated backlog update.
Topps Gilded Baseball: current listing says November 25
Release-calendar check: Topps’ U.S. product page now lists 2026 Topps Gilded Collection Baseball as available November 25. The official release calendar agrees. The product page describes a 200-card base set and the new 24K insert featuring one-of-one gold cards. See Topps’ Gilded product announcement.
Weekend reminder: Front Row Las Vegas, October 24–25
Front Row’s sports-card and TCG show returns to the Rio Hotel & Casino, 3700 W. Flamingo Road, Las Vegas. Public hours are 11 a.m.–5 p.m. PDT both days; VIP entry begins at 10 a.m. Saturday’s 5–9 p.m. trade night is a separate part of the schedule. Read the organizer’s show details.
The organizer lists Beckett and CGC submission acceptance, with Paradise Breaks accepting PSA submissions. Card drop-off does not mean cards are graded on site.
