Choose slab protection for the way a card is handled, displayed and transported. A valuable card may justify extra care, but an accessory cannot guarantee an investment return or preserve a grade under every circumstance.
Match the accessory to the exposure
A slab bag can help with fingerprints and light scuffs. A fitted outer case adds an enclosure and display frame. A padded carrying container supports several slabs during movement. Use the combination that addresses your actual routine, rather than assuming the most expensive stack of accessories is always better.
Select the correct PrismGuard model
The PSA Magnetic Slab Case is for compatible standard PSA holders, and the Beckett Grading Services (BGS) Magnetic Slab Case is for compatible standard Beckett holders. The One-Touch outer case is for a compatible 35pt holder measuring 110 × 73 × 7 mm. These are holder-specific accessories, not interchangeable cases for any card of the same sport.
What is included
PrismGuard case orders include the outer case and cushion strips. Cards and inner holders in the photographs are not included. The frames are aluminum, with clear panels and magnetic closures. Do not infer a particular clear-panel chemistry, archival certification or independent drop test from appearance alone.
Compare price and space
At the October 17, 2026 review, the PSA and BGS models were listed at $16.99 and the One-Touch outer case at $12.99 before discounts. Current prices and stock are on the product pages. Check the complete setup’s dimensions before buying cases for an entire collection. A slot sized for a bare slab may not accommodate an outer case.
Fit matters more than added layers
Measure the holder’s height, width and thickness. Follow cushion-strip guidance and do not force the closure. If adding a slab bag, confirm the extra clearance first. More layers are not automatically safer when they make a fitted enclosure too tight.
Treat UV protection realistically
The graded-case product pages state approximately 95% UV protection. Continue to avoid direct sunlight and limit unnecessary light exposure. The percentage does not establish a guaranteed display lifespan, and this guide does not claim independent laboratory verification. An outer case also does not control temperature or humidity.
Maintain records and inspect the setup
Keep an inventory with photographs, certification numbers and storage locations. Periodically check the enclosure, closure and surrounding environment. If a holder is cracked or the card moves inside its sealed slab, contact the grading service rather than trying to repair it with an outer accessory.
Use suitable transport protection
A display case is not a complete parcel or multi-card carrying solution. Support it in an appropriate padded container and follow carrier guidance for shipments. Choose a stable display spot at home. The goal is to reduce avoidable handling exposure, not to promise a financial or grading outcome.
